During this class, students enlarge their creative thinking, research the craft of storytelling and, eventually, transform into a professional picture professional. Students make use UC's digital cinema work flow to put their theoretical knowledge in training, using industry-standard resources including: digital cinematography lenses and cameras; professional tripods and dollies; lighting equipment; location sound recording mixers, microphones and booms; studio and set structure centers; greenscreen studio and compositing applications; and skilled editing and colour grading software. Students will: utilize technical knowledge to analyse and appraise a screenplay for narrative, story, subject and personality; assess, plan and use the hardware and applications of picture production to participate metanarrative devices for cinematic storytelling; utilize an understanding of acting and the acting process to form creative collaborations for film production; and both lead and work in little teams to produce creative storytelling solutions for film generation.

Entry to this course is based on an entrance position. A position can be accomplished by means of a year 12 ATAR, other Australian qualification, work experience, or an international qualification.
