Successful completion of study course and examinations in four (4) modules and Master thesis are the requirements for the postgraduate degree in Banking and Finance.
The Modules offered are the following:
* Banking Environment
* Banking Administration
* Finance
* Accounting
Students may choose up to two (2) Modules per academic year. The workload of two modules per academic year is equivalent to full time student, while following one module is considered part time student. The course starts at the beginning of October and ends in June with the final, written exams.
Students, under the supervision of their tutors, are required to submit four written papers for each module. On achieving the necessary grade point for each module, students are then entitled to take the final written examinations.
After successfully completing at least two modules, students can choose the subject of Master thesis, which must be completed within twelve months after the successful completion of the four (4) modules comprising the Programme. With the successful presentation of the Master's thesis, the Masters degree is complete.

The minimum requirement for admission to the Master in Banking and Finance is an undergraduate degree from an accredited university.Note: It is preferable that students entering the program will have some knowledge of the English language, since some part of the program's complementary educational material may be in English.
Accreditation
The Open University of Cyprus is the second (in order of establishment) State university of Cyprus and the country's only Higher Education Institution dedicated solely to distance education.
