This Masters programme approaches biodiversity from different perspectives, providing interdisciplinary training.
Realistic strategies are fundamental in order to know, measure, make inventories of, preserve, and manage biodiversity (Rio Conference, 1992), its origin, changes, functions, populations, species, and supra-specific taxa, the processes and factors influencing its evolution, adaptation and diversity, with the use of new modelling and instrumentation techniques. The course is inscribed in the "Life Sciences" and "Agro-food and Environmental Sciences and Technologies" areas, and the "Fundamental Biology", "Environmental Sciences and Technologies", and "Biodiversity, Earth Sciences, and Global Change" national research programmes.
