This one-piece part time Graduate Certification program intends to give professionals with an extensive understanding of the behavior and threat of bushfires with regard to local vegetation, property management and weather requirements. Students will obtain the wisdom of the relevant planning and construction regulations, standards and firefighting. Candidates should have the ability to supply information on progress in bushfire prone areas, assess construction layouts against the deemed-to-satisfy terms and conditions of the construction code and standards. The course has been designed primarily as a learning online course. However, select units (two as a whole ) have intensive block-style mandatory workshops which require students to attend. Many of the additional components have non-compulsory workshops and students are invited to attend workshops to obtain the advantage of the face area to face interaction within the program.
