The core of the program is to learn to test new ideas and launch new products/services on the market faster by identifying and adding value to customer needs.

Throughout the program students work in teams and on real-life innovation projects. Courses are led by industry experts and designed in workshop style for maximum learning outcome. Teams get coaching and business mentoring from established executives. Upon graduation the students are prepared to lead innovation units in companies.

During the programme student teams take on real-life business cases and go through all phases of business innovation from verifying customer need, developing a business model and eventually creating a prototype.

The core of the programme is to provide a rapid development of an idea into a sustainable business case.

The programme was launched due to the reason that validating new ideas tends to be a bottleneck for companies and often new products/services, that are launched, fail in the market after significant investments have been made. We believe there is a need for managers who can efficiently launch products and services.

The goal of the programme is to:

  • provide experienced specialists, entrepreneurs and managers with knowledge and practical skills in innovation management through an innovation project which is developed throughout the programme;
  • upon the completion of the programme the students may continue their business activity with the innovation project that was started and developed within of the programme;
  • enable to assess, test and develop the innovative and technology-based business ideas in the knowledge-based educational and developmental environment.

The professional profile of the graduates:

  • managers of business- or development projects;
  • managers of incubators, accelerators and technological spin-offs, and developers of technological entrepreneurship;
  • evaluators of venture capital based investments;
  • positions in the field of entrepreneurship that require the assessment of the need for innovation, its launch and the skills of team leadership.

Upon successful completion of the programme a graduate shall:

  • know the principles of financial planning, funding and legislative environment of business projects;
  • be able to develop the marketing-, sales- and negotiation strategies, and be able to present the value offer projected value;
  • be able to analyse and implement innovation strategies and use a business model as a tool for strategic planning and innovation management;
  • have developed one or more business projects in a team and proven the feasibility of a project in the market, by having also passed the stages of evaluation, creation of a prototype commercialisation.

The programme is aimed at high achieving working professionals, who need to develop the practical and entrepreneurial skills that are required of leaders in the global marketplace.

The new programme offers a learning-by-doing format: students focus on developing real-life business projects within international and multi-disciplinary teams, while being supported by classroom teaching as well as experienced business mentors and coaches.

The programme is provided at four stages over 24 months:

  • Boot Camp
  • Business Innovation Semester
  • Business Development Year
  • Master Thesis

Throughout the programme, students work on real-life projects derived from the demand industry or initiated by the students themselves.

The programme starts with a Boot Camp - an intensive crash course where the students test out their own ideas.

After the Boot Camp students continue with a Business Innovation Semester, where they develop their own or industry projects by identifying the customer needs and demonstrating a viable business model. The hands-on team work and experience of the Business Innovation Semester prepares students for the Business Development Year.

The Business Devepopment Year begins with matching innovation projects with student teams. Teams are formed on the basis of competencies and skills, aimed to ensure the best fit to each team member and the project. Students will take an active entrepreneurial role and responsibility in developing the business idea further with the goal to verify the customer need and execute a viable business. The aim is that the teams rapidly identify the potential of the idea while being supported by classroom teaching, and assistance of experienced mentors and coaches. Teaching and mentoring is tailored to support the needs of the project and team development.
