Course Content

Semester 1

  • English for International Students I (Pathway students only)
  • Math 117, 118 or 141 (course depends on Math Placement results)
  • Introduction to Popular Culture AND Seminar
  • Introduction to Business

Semester 2

  • English for International Students II (Pathway students only)
  • General education course (credits count toward every CSU undergraduate degree) AND Seminar
  • Microeconomics
  • Public Speaking
  • Calculus (if Calculus was taken in semester 1 the student may take a science class)

Academic Requirements:

  • 2.5 minimum high school GPA
  • High school diploma
  • All students must take the CSU Mathematics Placement Examination (MPE) upon arrival
English Language Requirements:
  • TOEFL/IELTS/PTEA/Completion of Academic English (minimum 80% in all graded courses)
Age Requirements:
  • 17 years and above

Funding

CSU offers several merit-based scholarships to qualified international students. Selection criteria include direct admission to CSU and high achievement in an academically rigorous college preparatory curriculum.

International students who have been educated in a US system with ACT or SAT scores can qualify automatically based on published GPA and test score criteria. International applicants educated in other systems without ACT or SAT are evaluated based on equivalent US criteria and evaluated for scholarship qualification.
