This program offers studies for practising cardiac sonographers. It uses a combo of block classes of approximately one week's duration in each session, internet-based modules and clinical practice modules.
Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
- A completed recognised Bachelor Degree in a relevant science or allied health field and no less than a couple of weeks full-time equal earlier supervised clinical experience in cardiac ultrasound. Students must also provide written evidence of access to suitable clinical experience
- Must maintain access to suitable clinical experience throughout this program. It's recommended that students be engaged in cardiac ultrasound clinic for at least 3 days/week over a two year time period, full-time equivalent, in an Australian or New Zealand clinical surroundings. Applicants must submit a completed Clinical Supervisor form using their application for admission as a way to provide evidence of prior clinical experience and also availability of clinical encounter.
