This qualification reflects the function of an individual in catering businesses using a variety of cookery knowledge and solid knowledge of kitchen operations to prepare foods. Using discretion and conclusion, they utilize some freedom and under limited oversight using policies, plans and procedures to guide work tasks. This qualification doesn't offer the relevant skills required by commercial cooks, which might be covered in SIT30816 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.This qualification provides a pathway to get the job done in many catering settings, like hospitals and elderly care centers, sporting and entertainment areas, hotel banqueting departmentsand cook\u2013chill production flats, along with mobile catering businesses of varying size.Possible occupation titles include:catering assistantcookfood service assistant.No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to the qualification during the time of publication.
