Kitchen Operations

This qualification reflects the use of individuals in kitchens using a predetermined and limited range of cooking and cookery skills to prepare food and menu items. They're participating in mainly repetitive and routine activities and work under direct supervision. This qualification doesn't supply the skills demanded by commercial cooks, which are covered in SIT30816 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.This qualification provides a pathway to workin kitchen surgeries in businesses such as restaurants, hotels, catering operations, clubs, bars, caf\u00e9s, and coffee shops; and associations such as aged care facilities, hospitals, prisons, and schools.Possible job titles include:breakfast cookcatering assistantfast food cooksandwich handtakeaway cook.No occupational licensing, accreditation or special legislative requirements affect this qualification during the time of publication.
