Cell Biology lies at the heart of today's central questions in the biological sciences. Research in Cell Biology is crucial to understand the inner workings of animals, plants and bacteria. It is central to diverse subjects including cell communication, cell division and cell motility. Importantly, our understanding of Cell Biology will undoubtedly help in the quest for treatments for major diseases, including cancer.

This programme will give you the unique opportunity to consider the most exciting current problems in cell biology under the guidance of leading experts in Cell Biology. You will gain training and experience in the concepts and techniques used in cutting edge research in cell biology and it's application in widespread fields of research. Importantly, you will have the opportunity to directly apply these ideas in your research projects.

You require 180 credits to complete the programme. 135 credits are research project based and 45 credits are from taught courses.

A First or Upper Second class honours degree, or the overseas equivalent, in a biological or medical sciences discipline.
