El "perfil de ingreso deseable", entendiendo por "deseable" que no es imprescindible aunque si muy recomendable. Este perfil deseable incluye cursar en bachillerato Física, Química y Matemáticas, y se consideran convenientes conocimientos de Biología y Geología. De esta forma los alumnos, al ingresar en los estudios de grado, dispondrán de conocimientos básicos de nomenclatura química, de magnitudes físicas y unidades físico-químicas, y de herramientas básicas de matemáticas que les permitan derivar, integrar y representar funciones de una variable real.
