The programme aims to cultivate in students a deeper knowledge of Chinese culture and broaden their vision with new perspectives to prepare them in meeting the challenges of the changing society. It enhances students’ Chinese language skills and cultural literacy, which are particularly essential for professions such as education, media and cultural management.

The courses are classified into three areas: (1) Literature, (2) Language and (3) Culture. Students have to take at least ONE course in each area and choose ONE area to specialise in. They are required to take ONE more course and write a Project Report in their specialised area. It must be noted that the courses offered in each academic year are subject to change. |
Academic Qualification
Applicants should possess:
- a bachelor’s degree with second class honours or above in Chinese or related disciplines (mass media, humanities, cultural studies and education) from a recognised university or comparable institution; or
- a general degree plus relevant working experience; or
- an equivalent qualification.

Four scholarships of HK$42,000 each are awarded annually to students who have outstanding academic performance.
