Classical studies examines the history and culture of ancient Greece and Rome and their contributions to western civilization. Many elements of western culture are rooted in the experience and achievement of Greece and Rome, including our language and literature and our social and political patterns.In Classics, you will study all aspects of the ancient Greek and Roman civilizations, including literature, history, art, archeology, mythology, religion, and society. You also have the opportunity to study classical languages: ancient Greek and Latin.
