This class produces highly competent, work-ready graduates with comprehensive area knowledge, and the professional and technical capabilities to successfully work as socially-responsible economists from the private and public businesses. Students grow to be well-versed in field areas including microeconomics, macroeconomics, international trade theory and econometrics. Students will: assess the concepts and theories acquired in business economics; practice critical thinking skills when coping with ambiguous and incomplete information; identify and obtain relevant advice for decisionmaking and providing advice to stakeholders from various backgrounds; apply discipline-specific technologies to simplify complicated problems in a variety of contexts; communicate a clear, coherent and individual exposition of knowledge and ideas to various stakeholders, addressing a wide range of business/commerce problems; and produce the capacity to exercise initiative and professional judgement in an ethically and socially responsible manner.
Entry to this program relies on an entry position. A position can be accomplished by a year 12 ATAR, additional Australian qualification, work experience, or an international qualification.
