Students of the Bachelor of Communication and Media (Journalism) research how to analyze, produce, promote and promote news over a selection of different networking, and develop their behavioural decision and leadership skill by working teams to release their original stories on the net, on-air and online. Topics studied include conventional reporting, digital curation, content production and freelancing. Students will: Appreciate and critique the function of public interest journalism in society; work , collaboratively and in deadline-driven surroundings; unconsciously adopt communication technologies in the creation of fiction; become a positive professional storyteller with the ability to work independently, regionally and globally; and employ the highest standards of professionalism expected of journalists.

Entry for this course relies on an entry rank. A rank can be accomplished by a year 12 ATAR, other Australian qualification, work experience, or an overseas qualification.
