This qualification reflects the functions of community agencies, case management and social home workers involved in the managing, co-ordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services for individuals, communities and groups. At this level, workers have specialized abilities in community work and services autonomously under comprehensive instructions from senior management. Workers are often supplying direct support to individuals or categories of people. Workers may even have responsibility for the oversight of other volunteers and workers or case management; program manipulation or the development of new business opportunities.Note that the Statutory & forensic child, youth & family impairment specialisationmust be achieved in orderto meet the minimum education requirements for child protection and youth justice clinic in Victoria. In addition, to fulfill the minimum education requirements for entry into child protection practice in Victoria, diploma qualifications needs to be approved by the Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA)To achieve this qualification, the candidate should have completed at least 100 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Prerequisites of units of competency.No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification conditions apply to the eligibility during the time of book.
