Course Content
Semester 1- English for International Students I (Pathway students only)
- Introduction to Popular Culture
- Math course depending on the results from CSU's Math Placement Examination given upon arrival
- First-Year Seminar in Computer Science
Semester 2
- English for International Students II (Pathway students only)
- General education course (credits count toward every CSU undergraduate degree) OR Public Speaking
- Math course (MATH 160 or MATH 161) depending on Math taken in Semester 1
- Foundations in Programming

Academic Requirements:
- 2.5 minimum high school GPA
- High school diploma
- All students must take the CSU Mathematics Placement Examination (MPE) upon arrival
- TOEFL/ IELTS/ PTEA/ Completion of Academic English (minimum 80% in all graded courses)
- 17 years and above

No work experience is required.

Funding
CSU offers several merit-based scholarships to qualified international students. Selection criteria include direct admission to CSU and high achievement in an academically rigorous college preparatory curriculum.
International students who have been educated in a US system with ACT or SAT scores can qualify automatically based on published GPA and test score criteria. International applicants educated in other systems without ACT or SAT are evaluated based on equivalent US criteria and evaluated for scholarship qualification.
