Conflict Resolution Studies (4 years)

This program explores the nature and dynamics of human conflict and looks at appropriate alternatives for dealing with conflict in ways which develop healthy relationships and prevent violence. Conflict Resolution Studies is a joint program offered through the cooperation of the University of Winnipeg and Menno Simons College, which is located on the University of Winnipeg campus. Conflict Resolution Studies prepares students to understand and interact constructively in response to personal, local, and global conflict situations. Topics include violence, power, justice, peace, communication, culture, conflict transformation, and dispute resolution.Conflict Resolution is a rapidly growing field. Graduates of Conflict Resolution Studies will find their skills and knowledge valued in many contexts such as mediation, counselling, education and training, child and family services, law enforcement, government, non-governmental organizations, business, and labour relations.
