This course intends to offer students an intensive grounding in 21st Century contemporary music training. It covers music composition, performance, and theory, together with embedded analytical studies of cultural, historical and technological applications in commercial contexts. It centers around the nurturing and growing of a holistic, creative and entrepreneurial way of music making, as a way to ready the student with the best chance of success at a highly competitive and global marketplace. This qualification is suited to students considering establishing long-term careers in contemporary, commercial audio performance and/or music makeup, namely studio and live groups and solo performers, songwriters, composers such as media, music producers and D.J.s, arrangers, orchestrators and sound designers. The program can be ideal for artists and composers desperate to boost their overall business expertise, upgrade their technical abilities and knowledge using the latest music technologies and better their own comprehension of music theory.

Admission to this course is based on an entry status. A status can be achieved by means of a year 1-2 ATAR, other Australian qualification, work experience, or an overseas qualification.
