Description
Dance majors in the B.A. program are required to complete all the courses listed under 07:203 and 07:206. B.A. majors are required to take either Afro-American/African Dance or Flamenco Dance. We recommend that dance majors elect additional courses in the major after consultation with the department undergraduate director. All B.A. majors are required to perform in at least one public performance sponsored by the Department of Dance.

Course Content
The Bachelor of Arts program in dance combines a broad experience in the liberal arts with a specialization in the area of dance. The program prepares students to advance beyond the bachelors degree in performance, teaching, dance criticism, or history. Students applying to the B.A. in dance must submit an application to the School of Arts and Sciences. Audition required.
