This qualification reflects the function of workers who assist a dentist, dental hygienist, dental prosthetist, dental therapist or oral health therapist during oral health care procedures. Their job includes maintaining high standards of infection control, assisting with practice administration and supporting professionalism and quality in the dental sector.To achieve this qualificationthe candidate must have completed at least 250 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of these components of competency.No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to the qualification during book.
