Education Studies

This program is designed for professionals to review in depth a variety of areas associated with education. Participants may choose from the range of components from different regions or Specialize in the areas of Gifted and Talented: Coaching for High Potential; Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL); or Careers and Transition Education. Some components are regarding the school curriculum. However, these components aren't intended for the purposes of educator prep in just about any specific method. The Careers Transition Education specialisation is a licensed post-secondary application developed to prepare teachers for job because being a careers advisor.

The Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) has endorsed the program with the Careers and Transition Education specialisation as meeting the Professional Standards for Australian Career Development Practitioners. This specialisation is endorsed and recognised by the NSW Department of Education within an approved post graduate application intended to prepare educators for job as being a careers advisor.

• A 3-year or 4-year pre-service teaching qualification of a recognised University or tertiary institution
• Or a bachelor degree and a one or two year pre-service teaching qualification of a recognised University
• Or a bachelor degree in Linguistics and a minimum Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TESOL specialisation just )
• or even a bachelor degree in a non-relevant discipline and be able to record relevant professional experience comprising at least one year fulltime (or equivalent) as a School Career Advisor or Career Development professional in TAFE, universities, business organisations, government agencies or individual training (Professions and Transition specialisation just ). All students must satisfy with the University's English Language requirements.
