Requirements
To apply to the Ed.D. Program at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD), you should possess the following:- Master's degree, or a comparable foreign degree from a recognized college or university, in education or a related field (e.g., special education, curriculum and instruction, human development, psychology, social work, management science, criminology);
- Preferred minimum graduate GPA of 3.0;
- Submission of GRE scores is required;
- 3 Letters of Recommendation;
- A minimum of 3 work samples;
- A personal statement of career objectives.

The University of Minnesota College of Education and Human Service Professions Department of Education is an energetic and diverse program with 27 undergraduate licensure areas, post baccalaureate programs, Education Administration licensure program, a Master of Education degree, an Ed.D. in Teaching and Learning degree, 2 minors, American Sign Language, and an Academic English Language Program, We have faculty, staff, graduate student assistants and work study students available to assist students, teachers and families. Each year we are busy teaching, advising, conducting research, engaging in community service, placing students in classrooms locally, regionally and abroad.
