The Employment Law LLM provides students with the opportunity to acquire a detailed knowledge and understanding of the legal rules relating to employment. Students will gain a critical understanding of the role of social, political and economic policy in the formulation of modern labour laws, both in the UK and with reference to international labour standards.

Students who successfully complete the Employment Law LLM will have acquired significant research and analytical skills in this area of law. They should therefore have substantially enhanced their prospects of gaining employment in professional legal private practice, human resource management and other areas of work where the ability to apply and advise upon employment law issues is significant.
