Full membership being a qualified engineer could be got after an appropriate amount of professional practice. Australia is one of 15 countries that are signatories to the International Engineering Alliance, also called the Washington Accord, to get professional engineers. The eligibility of graduates from this degree is recognised in all countries that are signatories to the Accord.
