Engineering Management

An engineering management role is that the long term function of many practising engineers. The demand for engineering oriented direction skills increases with career development. Many grad engineers have received just an introduction to handling topics at first degree level, a few may have had none in any respect. Undergraduate management training should just thought of as being a base for enhancement of management skills by further complex study. The Master of Engineering Management application provides a balance between engineering and business skills and is jointly taught by staff from the Department of Civil Engineering and the Curtin Business School at a format that integrates the roles and abilities needed by engineers in direction. This masters program is a joint undertaking involving the Department of Civil Engineering/Faculty of both Science and Engineering and the Graduate School of Business. The engineer at a synergistic function in industry need to utilise a broad assortment of competencies and skills which are essential to the preparation, coordination and control of engineering projects, contracts and plant.
