What will I study?
- You will be introduced to the latest developments in digital literatureand new media writing, while also exploring 'classic' texts across media, for example studying Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre alongside television and film adaptations of the novel, fan fiction and comics based on Bronte's characters
- Units include introductions to critical theory and theories of genre, the relationship between fact and fiction, world literatures, and debates surrounding the representation of gender and sexuality
- There is an emphasis on writing skills and you will study journalism as well as creative writing and publishing for a variety of traditional and new media
