Offered from April 2014, our brand new ‘English Program of Environmental Earth Science for Sustainable Society’ (EPEES-SS) is a course in which students can choose from an extremely comprehensive list of study areas and, any faculty member from our Graduate School can act as a supervisor. The course targets international students from any background, region and study field. Students must show a genuine interest in environmental issues.

- Scholarship under EPEES-SS: Hokkaido University English Program Support Grant (Monthly stipend of ¥60,000 for 12 months after arriving in Japan)
- Scholarships through the Graduate School of Environmental Science: Monbukagakusho Honors Scholarship for Privately Financed International Students (Monthly stipend of ¥65,000 for 12 months after arriving in Japan) *Can be issued with the Hokkaido University English Program Support Grant.
