Year abroad
Kent is a highly international university, an ethos that is reflected in a wide range of existing and developing educational partnerships both across Europe and globally. Currently, our European programmes have exchanges with the University of Bologna in Italy, in France and the University of Amsterdam in Holland. We are also developing new exchange programmes with other universities including Hong Kong.
Please note:
- Courses at the University of Bologna are taught in Italian, but at the University of Amsterdam the programme is taught in English. We also offer postgraduate provision in Paris and Rome (forthcoming).
- Part-time students must switch to full-time study for the duration of the year abroad.

We have created the Kent Scholarship for Academic Excellence, which will be awarded to any applicant who achieves a minimum of AAA over three A levels, or the equivalent qualifications as specified on our funding pages.
