This course is the ideal blend of imagination and business tailored to your own fashion and textile market. Its worldwide focus helps students pursue a career in buying, product development, fashion marketing, retail management, retail planning and allocation both locally and internationally. Students learn to develop, analyse and implement product and new plans, research buying and merchandising practices, and also plan and execute successful retail plans. Students bring fashion from across the globe into the community retail outlet. Students work in teams on industry-based projects like the Retail Initiative (TRI) with a number of the biggest names in fashion, for example Myer, Country Road, Goal and Supre. Throughout these endeavors students work with, and are directed by, fashion industry professionals.
This course is accredited by Both the Australian Light Manufacturing and Training Advisory Board (ALMATAB).
Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) Components 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at the very least 20 in English other than EAL.
