The Guru of Fisheries Policy covers international, regional and national frameworks for sustainable fisheries management and offers a wide understanding of the law of the sea and also the problems facing the fisheries industry, including fisheries management, international fisheries law, fish trade, regulatory compliance, and tracking, control and surveillance (MCS). This program is created for fisheries and ecological policy officials, mid-level managers and authorities officials in governments, and regional and worldwide organisations.
A recognised Bachelor Honours degree or a Graduate Certificate in a relevant area. Applicants with a recognised Bachelor degree who usually do not have Honours or even a Graduate Certificate qualification may find entry to the class when they have appropriate professional experience, i.e. the capability to demonstrate several years' job in a maritime related field. Examples might consist of police officers, public servants or authorities employees. Software should be filed in writing into the ANCORS Postgraduate Coordinator, including supporting evidence of an appropriate background. This may possibly include a copy of a record of employment, or perhaps even a replica of a reference received. Consideration will be given to aspects such as the length and field of specialist experience.
