HHL's unique and innovative MBA programme focuses on leadership and international experience, applying an integrated management approach.
We offer our students in-depth management knowledge from an integrated perspective to serve their individual interests and needs. The integrated perspective means that all courses within the modules are linked. Instead of simply treating the functional concepts of each course or branch of study, we have developed the modules based on management issues from the stakeholder perspective, which means that they are based on concrete topics, e.g. Managing Investors or Managing Society. These modules contain courses from many different branches of study and thereby ease the functional linkage for our students. We think that this interdisciplinary approach prepares students best for the challenges faced by today's globally attuned business leaders.
The highly qualified resident and international faculty not only sharpens the analytical skills, but also the soft skills of the students in areas such as leadership, communication, team building, project management and negotiation. Moreover, case studies, consulting projects and high-profile guest speakers ensure a strong element of input from practice.

Educational organisation
HHL's full-time MBA is perfectly structured to meet the individual needs and interests of the students. The programme has two tracks: short track (15 months) and advanced track (21 months). During this time, our programme flow ensures a balanced workload. The curriculum is structured into three major parts: core modules, elective modules and practical experience. The compulsory core modules provide students with basic management concepts and functions. Through these fundamental courses (e.g. Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Management of Organisation, Managing Global Corporations, etc.), students from different professional and academic backgrounds will find a common language and acquire state-of-the-art management knowledge.
The elective modules (Corporate Management, Management & IT, Advanced Business Economics, Management Techniques, Negotiation & Public Relations, Marketing Management, student consulting projects, etc.) are designed in an interdisciplinary way, reflecting the management challenges faced by today's business leaders.
Through this cross-functional approach, students will gain expertise in their personal fields of interest and will learn to select and combine a variety of management tools.
The third part of our curriculum fosters personal development by offering an exchange semester at one of our more than 130 partner universities, a challenging individual research project or an internship.
In addition to the MBA courses, students can choose to participate in a wide range of basic, intermediate and business-level German language courses. Furthermore, during your stay at HHL, company visits will take you to various cities in Germany, giving you the opportunity to observe companies and business models that meet your particular interests.
HHL also offers this MBA programme as a part-time programme.
