The Guru of Health Policy (Extension) equips students with the knowledge and skills to comprehend, interpretinfluence and shape health policy. It offers an comprehension of the way the healthcare system functions and the challenges it faces. This class provides a deeper comprehension of the current issues forming health plan and also an option for specialisation in four key areas: mathematics; science; communication and education; and Indigenous and health. The class also gives you a foundation in statistics, epidemiology and Indigenous studies. The class provides a career path for health professionals, government employees, consultants and other professionals who want to go for a career in healthcare or have reached their preferred role and wish to improve their professional knowledge and experience. Career options include positions in Commonwealth and state departments of health, community and consumer-based advocacy groups, government and not-for-profit organisations, local gym services, and non-government service providers.
- Applicants must have completed a UTS approved bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted additional evidence of general and professional qualifications which demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies. The English proficiency requirement for global students or neighborhood applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0
