Health Science and Chinese Medicine

You'll acquire the knowledge and techniques for Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture practice with an emphasis on integrated clinical care through an evidence based approach. Studies start with the basics of cell biology and Chinese medicine fundamentals. Anatomy, physiology, immunology and pathology followalong with so you understand the body's normal and abnormal states. You will have the ability to accurately locate needle acupuncture points and also learn herbal medicine formulas and comprehend different clinical conditions that acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can cure. You'll learn both Chinese and Western medicine diagnosis and then apply this information to patients at the RMIT Health Sciences Clinic. Clinical observation starts from first year in the RMIT clinic also finishes using a final-year clinical internship in China throughout the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine.

This double degree is fully accredited by the Medicine Board of Australia. Year 12 prerequisite units 3 and 4 - a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English.
