This program motivates students to work throughout the range of people's abilities, fitness levels and ages: by top end, through general wellness and fitness, to both rehabilitation and management of such problems as obesity, diabetes and heart disease. Students will create a comprehensive understanding of the science that encourages health, physical activity and exercise, and also learn to employ this expertise to client assessments as well as in designing, implementing and evaluating exercise programs. The activity and exercise science course features extensive student interaction and also a focus on individual students. Facilities are state of the art, according to our dedicated training and Sport Science Laboratories. The Campbelltown campus additionally maintains a wealth of sports places that are also employed by students.
Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
- Year 12 or equivalent. Students also must have: NSW Health National Criminal Background Check
- Prohibited Employment Declaration Form
- Medical Certificate. To be eligible to undertake fieldwork placements in public associations, students must conform to vaccination requirements and be ready to submit a completed Adult Immunisation Card to placement associations.
