  • Year 12 or equivalent
  • VCE prerequisites: Units 3 and 4: the absolute minimum study score of 25 in English (or equivalent) or even 30 in English (EAL). Further performance criteria and prerequisite requirements may also apply.International: Successful conclusion of a Year 12 qualification undertaken in Australia, such as the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). International Baccalaureate or interstate Year 12 equivalent. Non-Year 12 credentials, Foundation Year and credentials undertaken overseas will not be accepted. English language requirements - satisfactory conclusion of a few of these following: Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 higher level) with overall 70%, all skills 65 percent
  • Minimum IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no single band below 6.0
  • TOEFL iBT (web-based ) minimum score of 79 with a reading band at least 18 and writing band at least 20
  • Pearson (PTE) minimum score of 5-8 (no communicative skills significantly less than 50)
  • Any equal assessment of English language proficiency. Notice: A necessity for several classes, the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) can currently be done online campus at Hawthorn.
