Description

Outside Spain, Spanish is the official language of all countries in South and Central America except Brazil, and is widely spoken in many parts of North America. A working knowledge of the Spanish language, and of Hispanic cultures, will give you a head start in the business world. Combining Hispanic Studies and Business Administration enables you to gain a deeper understanding of international business, which is an ideal option for those considering an global career.

You have the opportunity to spend a year abroad in Spain, Uruguay or in Peru and we offer advanced language modules focusing on translation and interpreting – valuable skills when looking for employment. Another peninsula language, be it Catalan or Portuguese, is optional for joint honours students. Our facilities include multimedia laboratories, which offer a variety of interactive language learning programmes and dictionaries, and access to a wide range of TV satellite channels and audio, video and computer-assisted language learning facilities.

Business Administration gives you the academic foundation you need for a career in business or management by equipping you with the fundamental skills and knowledge essential for managing the key areas of organisations: accounting, human resource management, quantitative methods, marketing, strategy and operations management.
