The Immunology Graduate Program provides state-of-the-art training in immunological research at the University of Calgary. Our graduate program is associated with the Immunology Research Group (IRG) with members from various basic science and clinical departments across the Cumming School of Medicine and Department of Biological Sciences. 

The research of the IRG falls under two core themes

  • Development and physiology of cells of the immune system
  • Immunological mechanisms in disease and the inflammatory process

Requirements

  • Online application and payment of the application fee (unpaid applications will not be processed). 
  • One official set of transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
  • Two (2) reference forms and corresponding reference letters
  • Current CV listing both academic and work experience (uploaded by applicant directly to the application) 
  • Confirmation of Supervision and Funding Form
  • A 4-year Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution or equivalent
  • Minimum GPA of 3.3 (B+) over the last two full years or equivalent
  • ALL applicants to the Immunology graduate program must demonstrate English language proficiency. TOEFL - minimum of 600 (paper-based) or 100(internet-based), IELTS - minimum of 7.5 overall
