This qualification reflects the function of workers locally or residential setting that follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to folks who may require support as a result of ageing, disability or some other reason. Work involves using discretion and judgement with regard to individual support as well as accepting responsibility for own outputs.Workers possess a selection of factual, technical and procedural expertise, as well as some theoretical understanding of their concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.To accomplish that qualification, the candidate should have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the components of competency.No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements affect this eligibility at the time of publication.
