Istanbul Sehir University (SEHIR) Graduate Program in Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) is for students with an undergraduate degree (UG) in engineering or sciences such as physics and mathematics.
MS graduates from ISE will:
* Excel in science, math, and engineering fundamentals as core skills and learn how to apply them to industrial problems;
* Gain skills to continuously renew their knowledge through lifelong learning and professional development,
* Integrate engineering and business perspectives in design and decision making processes of relevant to real life,
* Develop a capacity to lead and innovate under the winds of continuous global change.
ISE program at SEHIR aims at:
* Enhancing national research and new technology development potential,
* Raising engineering and management leaders that will grasp new global technological developments and disseminate these new developments in academic and industrial settings,
* Satisfying industrial demand on specialized work force in engineering area.
MS Options
The ISE program at SEHIR offers the following MS track options for both non-thesis and thesis studies:
* MS in Operations Research (MS-OR): MS-OR option offers students flexibility to select elective course from a large pool of IE and non-IE courses. This is a general option that prepares students to PhD programs.
* MS in Manufacturing and Product Engineering (MS-MPE): MS-MPE option offers students a rich specialty in design, manufacturing processes and systems, automation, and control. This option prepares students for leadership in manufacturing industry and/or PhD studies in manufacturing related fields.
* MS in Engineering Management and Leadership (MS-EML): MS-EML option is for students mainly coming from industry to gain knowledge in management and leadership skills. It prepares them to be skillful managers in a wide variety of industry, business or government sectors.
* MS in Financial Engineering (MS-FE): MS-FE is for students with an engineering background and aiming to gain expertise and skills in financial theory, analysis, tools, and techniques to be leaders or consultants in finance sector.
