International Relations Online (IRO) is a Master of Arts degree programme (120 ECTS credits).
IRO seeks to equip you with the capacity to apply theoretical concepts to pressing issues in world politics and to design recommendations for policy-making. You will therefore familiarise yourself with research techniques and theoretical tools for assessing policy problems. Subsequently, you will train your negotiation and project management skills in an application section. During your studies you are furthermore invited to pursue your own learning interests by creating your individual study focus in either global politics or area studies (Eastern Europe).

Learning skills you will gain with IRO:
  • Analytical understanding of transformations, developments, and challenges in global politics today
  • Ability to tackle global issues with equal measures of hard and soft skills
  • E-competencies by studying online and interacting with peers and professors globally via online blended learning tools
  • Intercultural skills by working with people from different cultural and professional backgrounds
