This qualification reflects the function of individuals working in kitchens who use a predetermined and limited range of cooking and cookery skills to organize food and menu items. They are involved with mainly routine and repetitive tasks and work under direct oversight. This qualification does not offer the skills demanded by commercial cooks, which can be covered in SIT30816 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.This qualification provides a pathway to workin kitchen operations in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, catering operations, nightclubs, pubs, caf\u00e9s, and coffee shops; and associations like aged care centers, hospitals, prisons, and schools.Possible occupation names include:breakfast cookcatering assistantfast food cooksandwich handtakeaway cook.No occupational licensing, accreditation or special legislative requirements connect with this qualification at that time of publication.
