The QUT Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree prepares students to think ahead and benefit from employment opportunities in growth areas and only emerging sectors, such as intellectual property and technology. The degree provides a sturdy foundation in contemporary law knowledge and technical abilities like critical analysis, problem solving and research which will equip students for their livelihood. Students have the opportunity to choose electives which align with their interests and can gain practical and hands-on experience. Students gain from purposeful relationships with visible industry employers and classes together with leading and globally renowned law experts. Law students have the choice to finish the Law, Tech and Innovation minor as part of their elective choices.

Graduates meet the academic requirements for admission as a solicitor and/or barrister in all Australian states and territories. It's also known for entry purposes in West and East Malaysia, India, Fiji and Papua New Guinea.

  • Assumed knowledge: English, or Literature, or English and Literature, or English as Another Language (Units 3 & 4, C).

    Entrance in to the external mode of this program is confined to candidates residing away from the Brisbane City Council bounds and within Australia.
