Marketing is an integral part of our everyday activities and experiences. It is a business practice concerned with developing, transporting, promoting, and selling the vast assortment of products and services needed to satisfy the diverse wants and needs of consumers.
The Marketing major at UGA is future-oriented. Students take courses in consumer behavior, marketing research and strategy, sales management, analytics, digital marketing, social media, promotion, advertising, and many others to gain an understanding of the analytical methods and research procedures used in identifying and solving marketing problems in the ever-changing marketing world. Two areas of emphasis are available: Professional Selling and Digital Marketing. Coursework is bolstered by the student organization Pi Sigma Epsilon which offers business contacts, leadership experience, and social interaction. College Transcripts from each institution attended during high school must be submitted for review. If you have attended college after high school graduation, you are not eligible to be a First-Year applicant and should submit a Transfer application.
