Since 1992 the Norwegian School of Hotel Management has offered an MSc in International Hospitality and Management and is currently the only institution in Norway offering this master's programme in English.
The study programme will provide an in-depth understanding of international hotel, restaurant and tourism topics and issues. Individual learning and personal improvement are stimulated through tailored courses with an emphasis on problem-based learning.
The target group for this programme are those students who have previously completed a bachelor's degree within one of the following disciplines: hotel, hospitality, tourism or restaurant and are aiming for a higher level education in hotel, tourism or restaurant leadership.Applicants with bachelor's degree within business management or equivalent may be considered for admission only if they can document work experience within hospitality/tourism industry (min. 1 year of full-time employment required).English Language Requirements:- Test of English as a foreign language (ETS TOEFL?®) with a minimum score of 550 (paper based) or 80 (internet-based).- International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6.0. - University of Cambridge exams: Certificate in Advanced English or Certificate of Proficiency in EnglishFor more information and a complete list of exemptions, please follow this link: www.uis.no/language
As a rule, Norwegian universities do not charge tuition fees. All students pay a semester fee of currently NOK 750 per semester.However, international students should be prepared to apply as self-financing full degree students.
