Systems Engineering with Embedded Systems

The program is planned and executed in close cooperation with Stevens Institute of Technology in the US, one of the world's leading communities in Systems Engineering. Also having participated are high-tech companies with world class reputation, based in Scandinavia, with companies in Kongsberg in leading positions.

Complex industry-projects require the participation from several professions. It is of paramount importance that all participants in such projects are using the same methodology, that they use a common language that everyone understands.

We have close cooperation with local industry in the Kongsberg area. In their last semester, our students have the opportunity to do their master thesis in cooperation with our industrial partners.

Systems Engineering with Embedded Systems has in-depth courses in Embedded Systems and will also have a minor in Systems Engineering. This means that the students will be enabled to develop hardware and software based applications and understands how these will work in a Systems Engineering context.

This 2-year program is unique, also in international context. Project work is used extensively through the program. The lectures and also all literature are in English, something that has led to an increasing interest from international students.
