You like maths and science and would like to share your own skills with others. You'd love to help students grow in confidence and also motivate them at school. You'd like a career that you may take along with you anywhere. With the Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences / Bachelor of Education, it is possible to prepare yourself for a career as a secondary school educator, in math, science or IT, having the flexibility to teach middle school years into VCE. You can even choose your skills to different industries for even larger choice. You will develop skills in math, computing, modelling and statistics, while you develop your identity for being a teacher. You'll learn how to teach and the way you can best inspire your students. As with most of our education degrees, you are going to get experience annually in classrooms across the state at which you can place your learning into practice with real students. The Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences component of the plan will provide students having a solid foundation in the basic principles and methods of math and also focusing on the way that math is applied to the true life. The Bachelor of Education component will prepare one to be a professional instructor, together with electives including: information science, technology, chemistry, math, earth sciences or environmental science. Mathematics is a core theme. Areas of study include: computing (skills), education, mathematical sciences, and mathematical statistics, math, math (implemented ), math (modelling), instruction (secondary).
