No matter your educational background, the Full-Time MBA program is well suited for anyone interested in making a career change. Our students come from a wide variety of fields, ranging from science and engineering to music and the humanities.

A KU MBA provides a premier business education as well as critical leadership skills. KU School of Business professors combine excellence in education with top-tier research, teaching students about the most advanced developments in new business strategy and technology. KU professors are creating knowledge, so what you learn today will be in a textbook tomorrow.

Students have opportunities to put their classroom knowledge to work in real-world applications through Kansas Impact Project (KIP), case competitions, study abroad and internships. KIP is an integral piece of the program for first-year students as they work with real clients to provide management consulting. Businesses and non-profits that partner with the MBA program for KIP benefit from students’ expertise, and students gain leadership and communication skills critical for their careers.

The full-time, 16-month program is based at the Lawrence campus and includes 50 credit hours of core curriculum, integration classes and track classes. New students are admitted in the fall and complete the program in three semesters, plus a summer of career exploration through an internship. Prior to the second semester, students select a track, which allows them to specialize in either finance or marketing supply chain management.

The 50 hours in the MBA program consist of 31 credit hours in ten core classes, 7 credit hours of application classes, and 12 credit hours of specialized track classes. Prior to the beginning of the second semester, students select a track of either Finance or Marketing/Supply Chain Management.
