You will graduate with an Honours Bachelor of Applied Arts in Media Studies and a Diploma in Media Communications.During your first two years, you will be introduced to various media fields and study the historical, social, cultural and ethical aspects of the industry through courses that challenge you to think, read and write critically. Learn how media has developed then look ahead to emerging trends. Following your second year, you will choose one of five specializations: Digital Communications, Image Arts, Journalism, Media Business or Public Relations. You are not limited by your specialization. You can take courses from other areas as well. Third- and fourth-year courses teach you about governance and policy and how to work in a team environment, such as producing a newspaper or television broadcast or promoting and managing a large event. After third year, you will complete an internship of more than 200 hours.
