This course delivers an accelerated four-year degree which completes all training in mere 3.5 years. Upon graduation, students will be eligible for registration from the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA) to clinic as a Diagnostic Radiographer and can research career opportunities in general radiography, angiography, mammography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and healthcare transcription. Students will: Gain a higher degree of ethical and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients from diverse cultures and backgrounds; acquire and apply clinical justification, evaluation and treatment skills to basic and life sciences; develop skills to undertake each of routine diagnostic radiographic procedures; learn how to operate diagnostic radiographic instrumentation to optimize image quality and minimise radiation dosage or other potential patient hazards; grow skills in designing, execution and management of quality assurance programs to clinical imaging applications; and acquire professional attitudes and attributes being a reflective professional.

Admission for this program relies on an entrance position. A position can be achieved by means of a year 1-2 ATAR, additional Australian qualification, work experience, or an international qualification. Admission for this program is competitive. Software will be assessed on the basis of academic merit and the number of available places.
